What to know before buying a 75-inch TV
- OLED lines skip 75 inches. The LG C5 goes from 65 to 77 inches, and the 77-inch model is 67.4" wide, about 1.5" wider than the 75-inch LCDs here.
- Check the stand before the console. Samsung uses a 16.4"-wide center pedestal. TCL's feet sit 56.9" apart, or 30.4" in the narrow position, and LG's QNED85A feet 53.1" or 20.6". Hisense also offers wide and narrow positions but does not publish the spacing.
- Weight without the stand ranges from 50.7 lb (TCL QM6K) to about 75 lb (Samsung QN90F and Hisense U8N), so two people are needed to lift any of them onto a wall mount.
- Mounting patterns differ: VESA 600 × 400 on the Hisense, 400 × 400 on the Samsung, 400 × 300 on the LG QNED85A, 300 × 300 on the TCL and 300 × 200 on the LG C5.
