Cosori and Ninja make two of the best-selling air fryers on Amazon, and both are easy to recommend. They differ in what they prioritize. Cosori packs in more features for less money: higher maximum temperatures, more presets, and ceramic-coated baskets. Ninja keeps its controls simpler and makes the best dual-basket air fryer you can buy.

The short answer: for a single-basket air fryer, buy the COSORI TurboBlaze. It costs about $30 less than the Ninja Air Fryer Pro, holds more, and reaches 450°F. For a dual-basket air fryer, buy the Ninja DZ201 DualZone, which has two fully separate baskets, each with its own fan and heater, and more than 25,000 Amazon ratings.

Best single-basket air fryer

COSORI TurboBlaze Air Fryer

A 6-quart square-basket air fryer that reaches 450°F, with 9 functions, 5 fan speeds, and a ceramic-coated basket.

Simplest controls

Ninja Air Fryer Pro (AF141)

A 5-quart air fryer with four functions, a 1,750-watt heater, and a compact, low-profile design.

Price: Cosori Usually Costs Less

The COSORI TurboBlaze costs about $100 on Amazon, while the Ninja Air Fryer Pro costs about $130. The pattern holds across both lineups. Cosori’s 5-quart Pro LE sells for about $90, and its dual-zone TwinFry costs about $160, compared with about $180 for Ninja’s DZ201.

Capacity and Basket Shape

The TurboBlaze holds 6 quarts in a square basket, while the Air Fryer Pro holds 5 quarts. A square basket gives you more flat cooking area than a round or rounded one of the same volume, which matters most for single-layer foods like wings, fish, or chicken thighs. Our COSORI 9-in-1 review found that a 6-quart square basket has noticeably more usable space than typical round baskets.

If you want a bigger Ninja, the Ninja Air Fryer XL (AF181) has a 6.5-quart basket for about $120.

Temperature and Cooking Modes

The TurboBlaze reaches 450°F and has nine functions and five fan speeds, so you can use a gentle fan for baking and a strong one for crisping. The Air Fryer Pro tops out at 400°F and has four functions: air fry, roast, reheat, and dehydrate.

That extra 50 degrees helps with searing steaks and getting a darker crust on frozen foods. Ninja’s AF181 also reaches 450°F with its MaxCrisp setting, so if you want a Ninja with the same top heat, step up to that model.

Basket Coating and Cleanup

Cosori uses a PFAS-free ceramic coating on the TurboBlaze, TwinFry, and Pro LE baskets. Ninja uses a conventional nonstick coating on the Air Fryer Pro and DZ201. Cosori lists its baskets and crisper plates as dishwasher-safe, and Ninja does the same for the DZ201.

If avoiding PFAS-based coatings matters to you, Cosori is the easier choice. Ninja’s Crispi line uses glass containers instead, but it costs more; see our Ninja Crispi review.

Controls and Ease of Use

Ninja’s Air Fryer Pro is the simpler machine. Four buttons for cooking modes, plus time and temperature, cover almost everything. Our Ninja Air Fryer Pro review found it one of the easiest air fryers to live with.

The TurboBlaze’s touch panel has more presets, fan speeds, and an optional preheat setting, and Cosori’s app adds recipes on its smart models. That’s more to learn, but also more control. Our COSORI 9-in-1 reviewer used theirs almost daily for about two months and found the angled touchscreen easy to read and the coating still like new.

The Ninja DZ201 is the dual-basket air fryer to buy. Each 4-quart basket has its own fan and heater, so you can cook salmon in one and vegetables in the other at different temperatures and times, and Smart Finish makes them finish together. Our Ninja DZ201 review used it nearly every day for more than a month, cooking pairs like wings and sweet potato fries.

The COSORI TwinFry takes a different approach. Its single wide basket splits into two 4.5-quart zones with a removable divider, or opens up into one 9-quart basket big enough for a whole chicken. It costs about $20 less and has a PFAS-free ceramic coating, but it’s much wider at 19 inches, and it has far fewer owner reviews so far.
